KYC (Killiskey Youth Club) takes place on Saturdays 6th and 20th January from 5.00pm—6.30pm in Rathmore Holiday Village. The club is for those in 4th to 6th classes in Nun’s Cross (and their friends). Further details may be obtained from Belinda Cullen, Albert Mahon and Rev Ken Rue. The teen youth group will meet on Sunday 14th January 6.30pm to 8pm. Further details available from Rev Jack Kinkead.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an international Christian ecumenical observance kept annually between 18th January and 25th January.
On Friday 19th January, local clergy from various Christian traditions will meet in the Bel-Air for lunch and a time of common worship and prayer.
To mark the week, Mr Don Black (a Methodist local preacher, which is the equivalent of a Church of Ireland lay reader) will be the guest preacher in Nun’s Cross church on Sunday 21st January.
Rev Jack Kinkead will be instituted as Rector on 14 December, by the Archbishop of Dublin, Most Rev Michael Jackson. The service begins at 8pm, and there will be a reception in the Glebe School immediately following the service. It will be great to see a good number of parishioners from Wicklow and Killiskey, gathering together in celebration as a parish family.

On Thursday 7th and Thursday 21st December there will be brief Advent prayer services in Wicklow Parish Church, commencing at 8.00pm.
On Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm, the Dominican Ecology Centre in Wicklow is holding a series of quiet evenings which feature praying with the Advent Gospels, commencing on November 29th and continuing until December 20th.
In recognition of significant anniversaries this year, Killiskey Parish and Ashford Parish are holding a joint social evening in the Bel-Air Hotel on Friday 1st December starting at 8pm. The cost of €10 includes finger food and musical entertainment. It promises to be a fun evening to kick start the Christmas celebrations so bring your family and your friends. Wicklow Parish is holding a Fashion Show in Fishers of Newtownmountkennedy, on Thurs 16th November, at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased from Miranda Harris or Lesley Hopkins for €20 each.

November is a month for remembering those who have gone before us.
On Sunday 12th of November, the morning service commemorates those who gave their lives in two world wars and in peace-keeping operations. There will be an Act of Remembrance and an opportunity to support the Poppy Appeal.
